What might bring a child or young person to therapy?

We offer children and young people a safe, confidential space to acknowledge, experience, and process their feelings alongside a consistent and supportive adult. This includes support with emotional regulation for neurodiverse children and young people, helping them to better understand and manage intense or overwhelming emotional experiences.

At times, feelings can feel unmanageable or confusing, leading to anxiety, distress, anger, withdrawal, low mood, or self-harming behaviours.

Early therapeutic support can help children and young people make sense of their emotional world, supporting the development of resilience, wellbeing, and both physical and mental health.

At Therapy Space, we take a playful, accepting, and empathic approach, enabling each child to explore and express all parts of themselves within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.
